Save a DeepSeek chat as a PDF, all of it

A long DeepSeek chat now prints and saves as a PDF from the first prompt to the last answer.

Save a DeepSeek chat as a PDF, all of it

If you tried to save a DeepSeek chat as a PDF and the last part just wasn't there, that was on us. A reader's research chat ran to 145 pages, and the PDF stopped well short of the end. We fixed it: the PrintFriendly extension now gets the whole DeepSeek chat, however long it is.

How to do it

  1. Open the chat on DeepSeek.
  2. Click the PrintFriendly button in your browser's toolbar, then choose PrintFriendly View.
  3. The chat opens laid out like a conversation: your prompts in bubbles, DeepSeek's answers at full width.
  4. Delete mode is already on, so click anything you don't want to remove it, one block at a time.
  5. Click PDF to save it, or Print for paper.

DeepSeek doesn't get its own button on the page, so the toolbar button is the way in.

What comes through

  • The thread you're looking at. If you edited a prompt, you get the version on screen, with the answers that followed it.
  • Formatting and code. Headings, lists and code blocks stay readable.
  • Sources. When DeepSeek searched the web, its citations come through as small numbered links to the pages it used.
  • Your uploads. The names of files you attached show above the prompt they went with.

DeepThink's reasoning is left out. You get the answer, not the thinking behind it.

Where it works

The extension does this in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. For installing it and pinning the button to your toolbar, see Browser Extensions.
